It will take some convincing to persuade you that our traditional Heritage frames (also known as Residence or R9) do not use timber, but we swear whole-heartedly that they don’t. Up close or viewed from a distance, you will struggle to find any obvious difference in how they look as they have the same style, dimensions and quality of finish. We have even managed to make the window sash sit flush with the window frame when the window is closed, which is what you would expect to see with a 19th Century timber window. These Heritage windows are made from a composite material, so they’ll also outperform timber windows for thermal efficiency, and they won’t need cleaning or repairing at any point.

The way a set of bi-folding doors glide along the rolling mechanism will make you instantly fall for them, and how could you not be totally transfixed by their stunning aesthetics? Configurable in multiple ways, patio doors are a great space-saver as they operate with a sliding motion, and don’t need to be opened outwards or inwards. This means you can place furniture right next to them.

As well as giving you complete transparency, it also offers sound reduction, minimising the impact of any rain or hail that hits the exterior of the roof, so that you enjoy tranquil surrounds. This roof is also great for solar control, and we can tint the glass if you wish. Not keen on clambering up to clean the roof? Just ask for self-cleaning glass to be put into the roof, which as you can probably guess, can cleverly clean itself. Glass roofs are a good accompaniment to windows and doors too.

You can lose a little bit of natural light from a conservatory upon the installation of a tiled roof, but don’t dismiss it based on that. It has a beautiful external and internal appearance, and to compensate for that loss of light we mentioned, you can always have roof windows or integrated spotlights placed into the roof. This will keep the extension well illuminated at night time and allow you to use the space deep into the early hours. We follow this process because we know that it results in a finish that has an unrivalled aesthetic quality, and won’t ever fade away. To produce our aluminium woodgrain finishes, we use a process called sublimation. Out of that comes our Walnut, Rosewood and Oak effects, and you wouldn’t be foolish for thinking that makes our aluminium frames look like wood.

Back in the 19th Century, timber windows were traditionally painted, but their painted finish would rarely last long. So, what we’ve done is develop a suite of timber alternative windows that you can finish in a range of Heritage colours, including Painswick, Clotted Cream and Cotswold Biscuit. They’re not painted on, and they therefore won’t disappear over time. Other Heritage colours we have in stock include Corse Lawn, Eclectic Grey and English, Irish and Silvered Oak.
